Silence of the Lands

Collecting ambient sounds in the natural environment

This activity is called data catching. By means of a PDA application named "Sound Camera," ambient sounds are collected from the natural environment, linked to the person that collected them, and associated to GPS data. These data will determine the location in space and time of the recorded sounds and allow them to be visualized on a GIS map.
